As a business owner I came to appreciate what Mookie Wilson represents to his clients and customers. That is, an all-in attitude and commitment. Our business has grown tremendously despite an industry that is in decline. One key to our success has been the merge of electronic and digital media. Mookie was one of the first on air personalities to embrace the new technology and provide a conduit for his listeners. By building this relationship, the loyalty and respect we achieved through Mookies support, was immediately noticeable.
I was so impressed with his dedication and hard work off-air, through blogs and social networking, that I modeled our approach after his.
That relationship worked perfectly with our business plan to get our message out through both radio and online channels. I found Mookie's relationship with his thousands of listeners, gave us rapid brand awareness with instant credibility.
I credit his work ethic, exuberant personality and marketing acumen for building a listener base who felt connected and important. That listener base became familiar with our dealership, our brand and they responded with making purchase decisions because they felt like they we doing business with an extended family member. That kind of relationship is hard to achieve and has been a key factor in our growth.

To Whom it May Concern,
I met Mookie in May 2007 at the Halton Walk for ALS. I said a few opening remarks before the Walk started. Later Mookie came up to me and introduced himself. He told me that his mother had died of ALS several years ago and offered to help the ALS Society of Ontario in any way he could.
Since then Mookie has emceed several events for us. He openly shares the very moving story of his mother's journey with ALS and the impact it had on his family. He speaks from the heart, moving the audience close to tears. Mookie is also very funny. He has a very quick wit. As an emcee he keeps the audience laughing and having fun. The participants at our golf tournament said he was the life of the party and really enjoyed meeting him and listening to him.
Mookie has a big heart. He is generous with his time and energy. He has a hilarious sense of humour which is contagious. We love having him at our events and appreciate everything he does to support ALS Ontario.
Thanks Mookie - for all you do.

Mookie Wilson and I have had a "Win-Win" relationship for the past number of years. Through his professional and friendly work ethic, he has been able to promote my resort business successfully and competently. Mookie is easy to work with, and always brings to the table new and exciting ways of doing promotions and marketing. During his time with Country 95.3, Mookie was instrumental in our advertising campaign. We saw an increase in sales leads as well as sales due in big part to Mookie's commitment to the campaign. His commitment went well beyond the office. Mookie often offered his services on weekends. He would include my business in blogs, and chats with his thousands of followers, who, in turn would use my business on Mookie's word.
Since his departure from radio, Mookie has remained successful in working with me and my resort business. He continues create wining opportunities to cross promote with me in his new restaurant as well as continue to promote me to his still thousands of fans that remain true to his facebook groups and other social networking sites.
I appreciate all his efforts and look forward continuing our great partnership!

It was my pleasure to work along side Mookie Wilson during our days at CING FM (Country 95.3). During this time, we had a mission on bringing back country music to the GTA, and Mookie was an integral part of the success that followed.
Mookie had a wonderful understanding of not only the demographic of the audience, but the psychographic which made his appeal and relationship with the audience extremely solid.
I would welcome the opportunity to work along side Mookie Wilson again.
Best,

I have known Mookie Wilson for nearly 10 years, and have worked with him at MIX 99.9 in Toronto when he was a morning show host with the MIX Morning Crew. Having worked alongside Mookie on several occasions during this period, I can say that Mookie is; creative and talented with a fantastic sense of humour and always willing to go the extra mile for his show and radio station.
While at MIX 99.9, Mookie was heavily involved with the Toronto Community from sports events to charitable initiatives and was in high demand with our clients for endorsements, remotes and appearances.
Mookie loves to perform and simply loves radio. As a strong team player, Mookie would be an asset to any team you wish to grow successfully in the future. If you have any questions regarding Mookie's capabilities please feel to reach me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Karen Steele, Program Director, KISS 92.5, Toronto, Ontario
On April 8th 2008, I sent an e-mail to Mookie Wilson asking him to play a special request for my son. That day marked the 6 month anniversary of my 3 1/2 year old son's passing. It was a very difficult day and I wanted to hear his favourite song on the radio on my drive in to work. Not only did Mookie play the song for Aidan, he also read my letter on the air and said some very kind and encouraging words to me once the song had ended. He didn't stop there! He later e-mailed me asking me to send him another request in 6 months time. I did and he of course played a song for Aidan again. But again, he didn't stop there!
My family has set up a fund at Sick Kids in Aidan's name to raise money for neuroblastoma research (the cancer that took our son from us) and Mookie contacted me this past Christmas because he wanted to help with our efforts. He and his business partner at Wild Wing in Milton planned a Christmas fundraiser in their restaurant and all proceeds went to Aidan's Fund. They had a silent auction, raffled prizes and did a live auction right there in the restaurant. They had amazing prizes to offer like Raptor's tickets, hockey jerseys, gift certificates and and outfit donated by Aaron Pritchett that he had worn on stage. Mookie also did some radio adds for a local business and asked that in lieu of payment they donate something to the auction. Even though the weather was not on our side that day, through all of their hard work they raised almost $4000 for cancer research at Sick Kids!
I want to thank Mookie for all that he does. I want people to know that he is so caring and genuine. He doesn't say things on the radio to just to make himself look good to his listeners. He means what he says and goes the extra mile to help others. Mookie has a real gift and his ability to share this gift on the air through his voice is amazing. I miss hearing him every morning. He has truly touched our lives in the most positive way! The world needs more Mookie Wilson's!
Thanks for being you Mookie!
