I am a radio announcer at heart... I've travelled all around following my dream and loving every minute of it. I truly believe in the saying, "Things happen for a reason"... while we don't know the reasons for things right away, it hasn't failed me yet!
Sooooo many changes... sooo little time! October of 2008 brought about many changes - one of which, many of you remember... I took the plunge and decided to open up a restaurant with a couple partners. Sure, this became my full time gig after there was a certain "forced" career change. Why not though, right? How was it? Awesome! I got to do all the PR stuff (I knew I'd be good for something!) and event planning. It was like working on radio, except chatting with the customers at every table was a new "show" with new things to chat about! It certainly kept me trained for my next career move, which was... Winnipeg!
So, off I went... to the big city of Winnipeg... it is truly an awesme city but all those things you hear about the cold winters and big mosquitoes... they're all true! Despite this, we met some amazing people and really had fun there - no regrets, baby!
We settled in quite nice... BUT my journey was not over! Jump to March 1st, 2011 - A new morning show got launched in... ready for it... CALGARY - Lite 95.9. That's right, weeeeeee'rrreeee baaaaaaaa-aaaacccckk! As much as we wanted to come "home," it was a tough decision to make - taking Mini Mookie out of his school and from around his friends again... but a quick trip to this beautiful city a month before our official move totally put him at ease - "I was born here, you know" is what he tells everyone.
